FAQ's

How do we register our team?
Teams must submit their entry form and squad list to the League Secretary by the stated deadline. All players must be approved by the committee, registered on Engage, and affiliated with England Netball before playing their first match. Each team needs at least 7 registered players and must provide two contact details (email and mobile).
Can we add players after the season has started?
Yes, but you’ll need committee approval first. Please allow 48 hours for this to be processed. Any new players must also be registered on Engage and approved before they can step onto court.
When are matches played and how long are they?
Matches are usually played on Sundays and consist of four 15-minute quarters. Two umpires are allocated to each game.
How many players do we need to start a match?
A team must have at least 5 registered players to take the court. If fewer than five players are present, the match will be awarded to the opposing team.
What are the health and safety rules?
All jewellery must be removed (no taping allowed), nails must be short and smooth, and no chewing gum is permitted during play. Suitable head coverings for religious or medical reasons are allowed, provided they are safe and secure. Each team is responsible for providing adequate first aid cover.
What happens if bad weather affects matches?
The League Secretary may cancel matches due to weather, usually by 8am on match day. If a game is abandoned before three-quarter time, it will be replayed. If it’s abandoned during or after the third quarter, the result will stand.
